Cape Town has been given the designation of one of the top
10 party cities in the world by in the Lonely Planet’s new guide“1000 Ultimate
Experiences”. Cape Town is popular with tourists on Cape Town holidays who enjoy
the combination of world class restaurants with the finest South African wines
and numerous hotspots for nightlife and cultural entertainment.
The popular travel guide suggests that Cape Town offers the opportunity to
“luxuriate on some of the world's best beaches by day and kick back under the
moonlight at suave cocktail bars by night”. Popular destinations to sample Cape
Town’s nightlife includes the central Victoria and Albert Waterfront and trendy
Camps Bay as well as Mossel Bay and several wine areas slightly further away in
the Western Cape region.
The party atmosphere will be enhanced next year as revellers on Cape Town
holidays celebrate the success or commiserate the loss of their favourite
football teams during the World Cup 2010.
