Day 1
You will be met at Victoria Falls Airport and transferred to your hotel near the mighty Zambezi River.

Check in, settle in and relax whilst you catch your first glimpses of the magnificent Smoke That Thunders first discovered by Dr. David Livingstone and still one of the greatest natural wonders of the world. The flow of water over the Victoria Falls is greatest from February to June following the summer rains, but they are a magnificent sight at any time of year.
Day 2
Today we recommend exploring the mighty Victoria Falls and its rainforest on foot, with magnificent views (we suggest you take your own raincoat, as those on hire are often well used).

Afterwards participate in one of many local optional activities such as a helicopter flight over the falls or an elephant-back safari, or simply relax and enjoy the facilities of your hotel.

In the late afternoon we recommend an optional Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi River to see hippos, crocodiles and the abundant bird life.
Day 3
Today transfer 4-hours from Victoria Falls to your safari lodge in Hwange National Park, the largest game park in Zimbabwe.

Check in, settle in and relax in this remote wildlife area before enjoying a thrilling safari drive in an open top game viewing vehicle accompanied by a lodge ranger. With over 100 different species of mammals, including huge herds of elephants and many predators, a marvellous wildlife experience is guaranteed. The bird life is also outstanding.
Day 4
Today is devoted to game viewing in Hwange National Park, which is the size of Belgium.

Rise early to take advantage of the best game viewing conditions of the day, as you enjoy a thrilling open top game drive in Hwange National Park with your ranger. Covering a vast area of over 5,600 square miles (14,600 square kilometres) and in close proximity to the arid Kalahari desert, this remote wildlife sanctuary is renowned for its enormous population of elephants, as well as vast herds of buffalo, zebra and giraffe. It is home to many predators including lions, hyena and endangered wild dogs which are thriving in the region.

The rest of the morning is free to relax by the lodge swimming pool, before setting out again in the late afternoon for another game drive. Enjoy another spectacular African sunset and relax around an open fire, before dining under the stars.
Day 5
This morning we leave Hwange National Park and transfer to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to beautiful Lake Kariba.

This huge lake is the largest body of water in Zimbabwe and is situated downstream from the Victoria Falls, as the Zambezi River winds its way eastwards towards Mozambique and the Indian Ocean. Check into your lodge and relax in this area of great natural beauty.

Note: Local airport departure tax of approx $15 per person is payable locally.
Days 6 To 7
At leisure to relax and enjoy the activities offered by your lodge on the shores of Lake Kariba.

Lake Kariba is over 140 miles (220 km) long and 20 miles (40 km) wide - making it one of the world's largest man-made reservoirs. It is a mecca for game fishing, particularly for the ferocious tiger fish. Apart from its marine life, its waters are also home to Nile crocodiles and hippopotamus. Fish eagles, cormorants and other water birds can also be seen here, as well as antelope and occasional herds of elephants.
Day 8
Transfer to the landing strip for your light aircraft flight from Lake Kariba to Harare Airport for your onward flight home.

Note: Local airport departure tax of approx $15 per person is payable locally.
