Day 1
You will be met at Victoria Falls Airport and transferred to your hotel near the mighty Zambezi River.

Located in the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA), where the borders of five African countries converge, the sheer scale of this vast international conservation project is difficult to comprehend. It encompasses a bewildering range of experiences, ranging from the mighty Victoria Falls to the lifeforce of the region, the Zambezi and Chobe Rivers.

Check in, settle in and relax whilst you catch your first glimpses of the magnificent Smoke That Thunders first discovered by Dr. David Livingstone and still one of the greatest natural wonders of the world. The flow of water over the Victoria Falls is greatest from February to June following the summer rains, but they are a magnificent sight at any time of year.
Day 2
Today we recommend exploring on foot the mighty Victoria Falls and its rainforest.

Afterwards you may wish to visit Elephants Walk, a small crafts complex across the road from The Kingdom hotel, where you can see talented local artists and sculptors at work and support them by buying one of their items. Alternatively you can participate in various optional activities, such as a helicopter flight over the falls or an elephant interaction.

In the late afternoon enjoy an included cruise on the Zambezi River where you may see hippos, crocodiles and abundant birdlife.

Note: We suggest you take your own raincoat for walking in the rainforest, as those on hire are well used.
Day 3
At leisure to explore the town of Victoria Falls on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River.

Many optional activities are available in this small town, where adrenalin seekers come to participate in adventure activities such as canoeing down the Zambezi River, white water rafting in the turbulent gorge below the falls (grade 5), abseiling and bungee jumping from Victoria Falls Bridge.
Day 4
This morning leave Victoria Falls on your shared 2.5 to 4.5-hour transfer (depending on the location of your lodge) to Hwange National Park, the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe.

For some lodges you may be dropped off at the Painted Dog Conservancy, where you will be collected by your lodge.

Check in, settle in and relax in this remote wildlife area before enjoying a thrilling safari drive in an open top game viewing vehicle accompanied by a lodge ranger. With over 100 different species of mammals, including huge herds of elephants and many predators, a marvellous wildlife experience is guaranteed. The bird life is also outstanding.
Days 5 To 6
Today is devoted to game viewing in Hwange National Park, which is the size of Belgium.

Rise early to take advantage of the best game viewing conditions of the day, as you enjoy a thrilling shared open top game drive in Hwange National Park with your ranger. Covering a vast area of over 5,600 square miles (14,600 square kilometres) and in close proximity to the arid Kalahari desert, this remote wildlife sanctuary is renowned for its enormous population of elephants, as well as vast herds of buffalo, zebra and giraffe. It is home to many predators including lions, hyena and endangered wild dogs which are thriving in the region.

The rest of the morning is free to relax at your lodge, before setting out again in the late afternoon for another game drive. Enjoy another spectacular African sunset and relax around an open fire, before dining under the stars.
Day 7
This morning leave Hwange National Park and transfer to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to beautiful Lake Kariba.

This huge lake is the largest body of water in Zimbabwe and is situated downstream from the Victoria Falls, as the Zambezi River winds its way eastwards towards Mozambique and the Indian Ocean. Check into your lodge and relax in this area of great natural beauty.

Note: As you will be flying in a light aircraft you must pack soft sports bags only, as rigid suitcases will not fit into the luggage pods. A baggage allowance of 15 kg (which includes your hand luggage) is strictly enforced for safety reasons.
Days 8 To 9
At leisure to relax and enjoy the activities offered by your lodge on the shores of Lake Kariba.

Lake Kariba is over 140 miles (220 km) long and 20 miles (40 km) wide - making it one of the world's largest man-made reservoirs. It is a mecca for game fishing, particularly for the ferocious tiger fish. Apart from its marine life, its waters are also home to Nile crocodiles and hippopotamus. Fish eagles, cormorants and other water birds can also be seen here.

The plains and rugged mountains of Matusadona National Park, situated on the southern shores of Lake Kariba, offer sanctuary to a diverse range of wildlife including elephant, buffalo and various antelope.
Day 10
Transfer to the landing strip for your light aircraft flight from Lake Kariba to Harare Airport for your onward flight home.
