Day 1
You will be met at Hoedspruit Airport and transferred 1.5-hours to Makalali Game Reserve.

After checking in, enjoy a thrilling game drive in an open-top vehicle accompanied by a lodge ranger. Game viewing opportunities should present themselves almost immediately in this vast wildlife wilderness. Hopefully you will see several species of antelope, zebra, wildebeest and maybe even giraffe today - as well as several of the Big Five - before dining under the stars in the atmosphere that only the African bushveld can provide!
Days 2 To 5
Rise at dawn to take advantage of the best game viewing conditions of the day, as you enjoy a thrilling open-top game viewing drive with your lodge ranger. Enjoy magnificent game viewing, including some of the Big Five - Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard and Rhino - before returning to your lodge for breakfast.

The rest of the morning is free to relax at your lodge or enjoy an optional spa treatment. Later set out again on a wilderness walk or another game drive. You can hope to see cheetah, giraffe, hippo, kudu, crocodiles, sable antelope, waterbuck, warthogs, baboons and many other interesting wild animals. With over 500 different bird species including eagles, kingfishers, vultures and storks, outstanding bird watching is also guaranteed!

After a beautiful African sunset, enjoy dining under the stars. One night there is the option of a bush bath or a star-bed sleep out on a beautiful deck overlooking the river, with wild animals all around. You are left with a mouth-watering picnic hamper, drinks box and radio (with washbasin & toilet) and you will be collected in the morning.
Day 6
After some early morning game viewing, transfer 2-hours to the scenic Panorama Route.

Check into your hotel in this beautiful region.
Day 7
Today transfer 1-hour from the Panorama Route to the Mozambique border.

After completing border formalities, continue 2-hours to Maputo Harbour for your boat transfer across Maputo Bay to the pristine Machangulo Peninsula. Boat departures depend on the tides, but there are some great restaurants at the Marina if you need to wait.

Check in and enjoy the warm and inviting atmoshere of your relaxed beach lodge, tucked away amongst the dunes and overlooking the ocean and endless white sandy beaches.
Days 8 To 10
Enjoy lazy days swimming in the warm Indian Ocean, sunbathing by the swimming pool or on the sandy golden beaches of the Machangula Peninsula.

You can snorkel in front of the lodge for about 6 hours each day, or take a 15-minute boat trip to one of the many coves. Enjoy long walks along the dunes of the secluded beach, or walks into the forest where you can see a variety of bird life (over 100 different species, including flamingos and pelicans).

An Arab dhow cruise to Santa Maria is highly recommended, with a visit to the local beach bar on the way back. You can also kayak in the mangroves, paddle board and enjoy beach picnics.

Divers can explore the nearby Mozambique Reef and fishermen can try their hand at exhilarating deep sea game fishing. Other optional activities include estuary trips to see flamingo, albatross and other seabirds; tours to Inhaca and Portuguese Islands; seasonal turtle nesting tours and seasonal whale watching.
Day 11
Transfer by boat and road to Maputo Airport for your flight home.
