When to go to Golden Triangle + Rajasthan

The Golden Triangle has a monsoon-influenced sub-tropical climate, with a large variation between summer and winter temperatures.

The best time to visit is during the cooler winter months (October to March) to avoid the extreme heat of mid-summer and the monsoon rains which fall from June to September, when most tiger reserves are closed. However in mid-winter the temperature can drop to freezing at night, especially in the desert regions.

Tiger viewing is best at the end of the dry season (March and April), when the tigers search out the waterholes and lakes.
