Zambia has a warm sub-tropical climate, with good rainfall.
Victoria Falls has the greatest water flow from February to June following the summer rains, with the Zambian side of the falls drying up in October and November.
The cooler months from May to October are generally regarded as the best time to view wildlife, as the bushveld is dry and animals seek out the water. In October, thousands of bee eaters nest along the Luangwa River.
The rainy summer season runs from November to March.
