Originally built as the farm manager’s house, it is the only settlement on the island and is located on a narrow isthmus close to Elephant Beach, which is 4- miles long and the longest beach in the Falklands. The lodge offers comfortable en-suite accommodation, whilst retaining the warm and friendly atmosphere of a large farmhouse. There is a cosy social area and a well-stocked honesty bar.

R&R House is a refurbished bunkhouse situated within walking distance of the original Saunders Island settlement. There are five rooms which sleep ten people, with shared bathrooms. Accommodation is self-catering but all bedding, towels, crockery and cooking utensils are provided. Meal packs will also be provided and you can purchase basic supplies at the store in the settlement.

The Neck

The Neck is a remote cabin situated at this wildlife hot spot that is a 1-hour drive by 4x4 vehicle from the Saunders Island settlement. This rustic cabin is ideal for wildlife lovers, birders and photographers who want to stay close to the marine and bird life. The living area is equipped with a gas cooker and heater, and the bathroom has a bath and toilet (but no shower). Accommodation is self-catering but all bedding, towels, crockery and cooking utensils are provided. Meal packs will also be provided and you can purchase basic supplies at the store in the settlement. Electricity is supplied by solar panels, so there are no electric sockets, but you can rent a converter for charging batteries. This cabin is very isolated, so you may not see anyone else from when you are dropped off until the morning of your departure. If this does not appeal to you, you can book accommodation in the settlement.

The Rookery

The Rookery is a warm cabin with two twin bedrooms, a shared bathroom with shower and a fully equipped kitchen with 24-hours power, refridgerator, cooker and microwave. The cabin is within walking distance of the black-browed albatross, cormorant, rockhopper, gentoo, and Magellanic penguin colonies. Accommodation is self-catering but all bedding, towels, crockery and cooking utensils are provided. Meal packs will be provided and you can purchase basic supplies at the store in the settlement. This cabin is isolated so if this does not appeal to you, you can book accommodation in the settlement.

Accommodation at Volunteer Point is in the Warden's Cottage, which has two bedrooms and a shared bathroom. It is located on a privately owned nature reserve, and only a short walk from the beach.
