Day 1
You will be met at Nairobi Airport and transferred to Wilson Airport for your light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara, named after the Masai people and the Mara River, which divides the park.

Masai Mara National Park is famous for its exceptional population of game and the annual migration of zebra and wildebeest from the adjoining Serengeti National Park. This phenomenon occurs every year from July to October, when game migrates along a circular route from the plains of the Serengeti to the Masai Mara and back again in search of fresh pastures, followed by hungry predators - most notably lions and hyena.

Check into your lodge and enjoy a late afternoon game drive into this magnificent wildlife sanctuary.
Days 2 To 3
Today is dedicated to game viewing in your private conservancy that is part of the world famous Masai Mara, where there are no fences and the animals roam free.

Nestled within the enormous Great Rift Valley, the Masai Mara is famous for its many prides of lions, packs of hyena and other predators - as well as huge herds of wildebeest, which number over one million, zebra and giraffe. All the Big Five can be seen here, as well as numerous other species including the Thomson's gazelle, topi, kongoni, impala, roan antelope and hippo. The nocturnal bat-eared fox, rarely found elsewhere in Kenya, also inhabits this region as well as the endangered cheetah and black rhino. Bird watching is also excellent with over 450 different species including the vulture, marabou stork, secretary bird, hornbill, crowned crane, ostrich, long-crested eagle and african pygmy-falcon.

Set off early each morning, when game viewing conditions are at their best, to view the abundant wildlife. Return to your lodge to rest in the heat of the day, before setting off again in the late afternoon for another game drive.

Note: Game drives into the Masai Mara National Reserve are usually only necessary during the wildebeest migration season, as the wildlife ranges freely between the conservancy & the park. Stay 3 nights & get one free game drive into the national park, otherwise these game drives are optional (pay national park fee locally).
Day 4
After a final early morning game drive, transfer to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Nairobi.

You will be met at Wilson Airport and transferred to your hotel in this bustling city.
Day 5
Transfer to Nairobi Airport for your onward flight.

You will be met at Mauritius Airport and transferred 1-hour to your beach resort.

Check in to your hotel, settle in and relax on this warm tropical Indian Ocean island, surrounded by sparkling turquoise waters and coral reefs.
Days 6 To 10
Enjoy lazy days relaxing on the white sandy beaches of Mauritius.

Swim and snorkel in these sparkling turquoise Indian Ocean waters, participate in a wide variety of water sports and savour fine Creole cuisine - especially the superb seafood.

Mauritius offers wonderful scuba diving in its calm clear waters, so this is the ideal opportunity to learn if you have never tried before, with many PADI dive centres. Deep sea fishing is also outstanding, in waters regarded as the best for marlin in the world.

Dolphin-watching catamaran cruises are very popular, as well as glass-bottomed boat rides to view the surrounding coral reefs swarming with tropical fish. Golf and horse riding are available, as well as bicycle hire to allow you to explore the island independently.

You can visit vibrant Grand Baie, with its pubs and nightlife and shop in the capital city of Port Louis, where you must expect to bargain vigorously. Or join one of many fascinating day tours that explore the history and nature reserves of the island.
Day 11
Transfer to Mauritius Airport for your flight home.

When you transit via Nairobi Airport, a hotel dayroom has also been arranged for you (use the free airport hotel shuttle service).

Note: you will need to purchase a transit visa to leave Nairobi airport.
