At leisure to relax and enjoy the amazing city of Dubai. If you are a sun worshipper, head to Jumeirah Beach or relax by the swimming pool of your luxury hotel.
Known for its luxury shopping and ultra modern architecture, Dubai has many other attractions to amaze you - including in the Burj Khalifa, at 830 m the tallest building in the world. Take a ride to the top of this incredible structure for fabulous views, and in the evening admire the water jets & lights of Dubai Fountain at its foot. You can also 'shop till you drop' at the nearby Dubai Mall, the largest in the world, with an aquarium, ice rink, many indoor and outdoor restaurants and a lovely waterfall. More incredible modern architecture can be seen along Sheikh Zayed Road, the main thoroughfare of the downtown business district.
Burj Al Arab Jumeirah is the world's tallest hotel which is lit up at night with a wonderful display. Designed to resemble a sailing dhow, it is located on its own artificial island. The nearby Mall of the Emirates offers more amazing shopping opportunities, including an indoor ski slope with a penguin enclosure. The Palm Jumeirah, with its many luxury apartments and hotels, offers postcard views of the city skyline.
In Deira City you can bargain in the traditional souks (markets) found in its winding streets, including the famous Gold Souk, Perfume Souk and Spice Souk. In the evening you can enjoy a relaxing dhow dinner cruise along Dubai Creek that separates Dubai into its two cities - Deira to the north and Bur Dubai to the south.
You can view many of these landmarks on an optional City Tour. Other attractions include Sheikh Saeed Al-Maktoum House, Jumeirah & Bastakia mosques, the Heritage and Diving Village, with its pearl diving and dhow building displays, and Ferrari World in neighbouring Abu Dhabi, which is 1.5-hours away by road.
Note: If you visit a mosque, you need to be covered from wrists to ankles (i.e. long sleeved top and long dress or trousers).
