We found 2by2 Holidays through Google of all places back in 2009 when looking for a safari holiday for my sister who is wheel chair bound. We have travelled with them on 3 occasions to South Africa since then in 2010, 2012 and also in 2015. Every trip has been fantastic, with great guides and locations. Transfers and hotels aren't a worry and 2by2 use their vast knowledge to ensure your holiday goes without a hitch. They've been great dealing with the airlines too which would have been stressful on a number of occasions if it hadn't been for their attentiveness. I would highly recommend them for disabled holiday makers.

They arranged a wheelchair safari holiday to the Masai Mara in Kenya that was out of this world. I would happily recommend using them as they answered my questions promptly and also called to talk through different options. In case you are disabled I am a tetraplegic who took a carer with me so don't wonder if you can just go for it.

As you are aware I have utilised 2by2 holidays on a number of occasions and have always found my experiences to be first class. I am wheelchair bound and have difficulty moving on my own free will. 2by2 holidays arrange everything for me from the airport to my destination and return. The staff I have dealt with are excellent and always very courteous. They make sure everything is set up for an enjoyable holiday. They arrange flights, hotels etc and also assistance for wheelchair users to make it easy to get on and off flights and around airports. Once at my destination I have found people to be extremely helpful and travel has never been an issue. Vehicles are well fitted to suit disabled means and guides are very knowledgeable in how to look after disabled people. At hotels you will experience the same and I have nothing but praise for 2by2 holiday staff. My experience has always been that I have received first class service. I have always found my holidays to be more than enjoyable and leave a lasting pleasant memory thanks to 2by2 holidays

The company took note of most of our needs and organised a brilliant experience for us. The guides were fantastic, understanding, willing and able with lots of knowledge and experience in their areas. All rooms were accessible and facilities were usable - a BIG help having the mobile shower chair. Will definitely use them again as keen to go back with our family. Just got to save up first! Kept us informed at all times.
SOUTHERN & EAST AFRICA
South Africa has many world-class game reserves, with Cape Town and the beautiful Garden Route being key attractions that are particularly suitable for disabled wheelchair accessible safari holidays, as these regions are malaria-free.
The world famous Kruger National Park is another top destination for a disabled wheelchair accessible safari holiday, as this is one of the greatest conservation areas in the world. Warm KwaZulu Natal offers outstanding wildlife, as well as insight into the fascinating Zulu culture. Madikwe and the vast Kalahahi both offer wonderfully wild experiences in a more arid setting.
South Africa is the only country in Africa that offers malaria-free game reserves, which makes this country particularly attractive for disabled wheelchair accessible safari holidays. The road system is very well developed, making travelling overland relatively easy. The luxurious Blue Train has an accessible cabin, which can add another dimension to your trip if you have upper body strength.
Kenya offers vast herds of migrating plains game and their predators, with the famous Masai Mara, Amboseli, Tsavo and Lake Nakuru being a particularly rewarding circuit. This can be combined with beach time on the warm Mombasa coast after disabled wheelchair accessible safari holidays.
Tanzania has only a few disabled wheelchair accessible safari holiday lodges, but enough to create a wonderful circuit that visits the wildlife-rich Ngorongoro Crater and vast plains of the Serengeti, followed by time relaxing on the turquoise spice island of Zanzibar.
Victoria Falls airport does not have lifting equipment, but if you have upper body strength & don’t mind being lifted in an aisle chair, you can visit the mighty 'Smoke that Thunders', combined with unforgettable disabled wheelchair accessible safari holidays in Chobe Game Reserve across the border in Botswana.
Namibia also offers a few disabled wheelchair accessible safari holidays options.
LATIN AMERICA
The countries of central and southern America do not have many disabled wheelchair accessible safari holiday routes, but we have developed several fascinating trips.
If you have upper body strength, in Peru you can visit the highlights of Machu Picchu, Cusco and Lake Titicaca. In Ecuador you can enjoy disabled wheelchair accessible safari holidays into the Amazon Basin and visit the Galapagos, staying in an accessible lodge on one of the islands.
In Argentina you can visit the thundering Iguazu Falls and cosmopolitan Buenos Aires, as well as the glaciers of Patagonia.
A few disabled wheelchair accessible safari holiday routes are available in Chile, Costa Rica and Mexico. We are working with customers to open up further routes, according to demand.
INDIAN SUBCONTINENT
Many destinations in India and Sri Lanka are not wheelchair friendly, but we have developed a wheelchair accessible safari holiday route that allows disabled people to experience the many incredible treasures of the Golden Triangle - Delhi, Agra & Jaipur - followed by time relaxing on the warm beaches of Goa.
If you have upper body strength and can transfer into the front seat of a game viewing vehicle, you can enjoy a thrilling wheelchair accessible safari in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. If you use a manual wheelchair and don’t mind being lifted, you can also see a more relaxed side of India in beautiful Kerala.
In Sri Lanka we have also opened up several wheelchair accessible safari holidays for disabled people that include visits to Yala National Park as well as Minneriya and Udawalawe, both known for their elephants, as well as several iconic cultural sites. This holiday is only suitable if you have some upper body strength & you are prepared to travel in a manual wheelchair, as all transfers are in a regular saloon car.
