This luxury safari to Kruger National Park in South Africa combines the Big 5 with beautiful Cape Town. View the Big Five, amazing bird life and so much more. Also view the Blyde River Canyon. Then fly to Cape Town to ascend Table Mountain by cable car, visit  Cape Point & the Stellenbosch Winelands. Disabled wheelchair lodges, game drives & transfers included.

Day 1
You will be met at Mpumalanga Airport and transferred to your lodge situated near the entrance to the world famous Kruger National Park.
 
Check in and relax in the atmosphere that only the African bushveld can provide.
Day 2
This morning we visit a local Elephant Park to experience a very special close-up encounter, where for 1-hour you can interact with and feed one of these gentle giants.
 
In the afternoon enjoy a shared open-top game drive into the Kruger National Park with a local ranger.
 
Note: There are no accessible toilets at the Elephant Sanctuary.
Day 3
Rise at dawn to take advantage of the best game viewing conditions of the day, as you enjoy a thrilling shared open-top game viewing drive into the world famous Kruger National Park.
 
Explore the vast Kruger plains, which offer magnificent game viewing opportunities and the highest concentration of lion in the whole of Africa. Hope to see several of the Big Five today - Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard and Rhino - before returning to your lodge for a late breakfast.
  
The rest of the morning is free to relax and enjoy bird watching, before setting out again in the late afternoon for another shared game drive. With nearly 150 different species of mammals and over 100 species of reptiles in the Kruger National Park, you can hope to see cheetah, giraffe, hippo, kudu, crocodiles, sable antelope, waterbuck, warthogs, baboons, wild dogs and many other interesting animals. With over 500 different bird species including eagles, kingfishers, vultures and storks, outstanding bird watching is also guaranteed.
  
Return to your lodge and enjoy a beautiful African sunset and the pristine stars of the Milky Way as you have never seen them before – as well as the spectacular Southern Cross.
  
Note: You must have upper body strength for this safari, as you will need to transfer into the front seat of the game viewing vehicle. Please enquire about other options, if you require fully accessible game drives. Vehicles are not allowed to drive off-road in any national park in South Africa. Children < 6 are not allowed on open top game drives.
Day 4
This morning we drive 1.5-hours to Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre where you have the unique opportunity of viewing wild lion, leopard, cheetah, eagles and vultures at close quarters. Animals found injured, poisoned or orphaned are given a second chance and released back into the wild.
 
In the afternoon we drive back through the green Blyde River Canyon - the third largest canyon in the world. Enjoy wonderful views from Pinnacle Rock, Wonder View and the Three Rondavels lookout.
 
Note: Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is closed on Sundays.

Day 6
Transfer to Mpumalanga Airport for your onward flight.

You will be met at Cape Town Airport and transferred to your hotel in this beautiful city, within sight of Table Mountain.
 
Check in and relax in your magnificent surroundings.
Day 7
Today enjoy a full day private tour of the beautiful city of Cape Town.
 
Weather permitting, we start by ascending Table Mountain by cable car to see one of the world's most famous views (alternatively we will drive up Signal Hill). We then drive around the city to see the key sights including the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, City Hall, Greenmarket Square, Houses of Parliament, Bo Kaap, Castle of Good Hope, District Six and Sea Point.
 
After lunch (own account) we continue to beautiful Kirstenbosch Gardens, nestled on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain and regarded as one the most beautiful botanic gardens in the world. Bequeathed to the nation by Cecil John Rhodes, the garden was established 1913. There is an avenue of camphor trees, a beautiful protea and fynbos garden, useful plants garden, sculpture garden and a dell garden as well as a world class collection of indigenous South African flora. Wonderful summer sunset concerts are held in the gardens on Sunday evenings from December to March.
 
Note: Table Mountain cable car is closed for annual maintenance from mid July to end August.
Day 8
Today your guide will collect you for a full day tour to the beautiful Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.
  
Enjoy wonderful ocean views as we drive around the Cape Peninsula to naval Simonstown, where we visit the resident penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
 
We continue to Cape Point where we hope to see baboons, ostrich and perhaps even dolphins or whales in season (July to November). We take an accessible funicular ride up to the Old Lighthouse, before returning via spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive to Hout Bay and Cape Town.
Day 9
At leisure to relax at your hotel or independently explore the vibrant Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.
 
You can also visit the Mandela Legacy Exhibition at the City Hall, but if you want an accessible transfer this needs to be booked in advance.
Day 10
Enjoy a full day tour through the renowned Stellenbosch Winelands, travelling through the scenic Franschhoek Valley where a handful of French Huguenot refugees started South Africa’s now famous wine industry.
 
We visit the historic university town of Stellenbosch and several different wine estates – sampling as we go.
 
After lunch at a good restaurant or wine estate (own account), enjoy some final wine tasting before we return to Cape Town.
Day 11
Transfer to Cape Town Airport for your flight home.
