Check in and relax in this region that is famous for its beauty and wildlife.
Day 2
Today enjoy a full day private tour of the beautiful Drakensberg Panorama Route, including the green Blyde River Canyon - the third largest in the world.

Enjoy wonderful views from Pinnacle Rock, Wonder View and the Three Rondavels lookout. Also take the Graskop Gorge Lift down into the gorge, where there is a short trail across a wooden suspension bridge into the forest, with the backdrop of a pretty waterfall. We can also view the Lisbon Falls and the unusual Bourkes Luck Pot Holes - cylindrical holes formed from the swirling waters of the Blyde and Treur Rivers.
Day 3
This morning enjoy an included visit a local Elephant Park to experience a very special close-up encounter, where for 1-hour you can interact with and feed one of these gentle giants.

Afterwards transfer to your lodge in the world famous Kruger National Park, a drive of 2 to 3 hours depending on the location of your lodge. After checking into your lodge, enjoy your first thrilling game drive in an open-top vehicle accompanied by a ranger. Game viewing opportunities should present themselves almost immediately and hopefully you will see several species of antelope, zebra, wildebeest and maybe even giraffe today - as well as several of the Big Five - before dining under the stars in the atmosphere that only the African bushveld can provide.
Days 4 To 5
Rise at dawn to take advantage of the best game viewing conditions of the day, as you enjoy a thrilling shared open-top game viewing drive with a lodge ranger in the world famous Kruger National Park.

Explore some of this vast game sanctuary that is the size of Wales, offering magnificent game viewing opportunities and the highest concentration of lion in the whole of Africa. Hope to see several of the Big Five today - lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino - as well as many other species before returning to your lodge for breakfast.

The rest of the morning is free to relax by the swimming pool or enjoy bird watching at the lodge, before setting out again in the late afternoon for another game drive. With nearly 150 different species of mammals and over 100 species of reptiles in the Kruger National Park, you can hope to see cheetah, giraffe, hippo, kudu, crocodiles, sable antelope, waterbuck, warthogs, baboons, wild dogs and many other interesting animals. With over 500 different bird species including eagles, kingfishers, vultures and storks, outstanding bird watching is also guaranteed.

After a beautiful African sunset, enjoy the balmy evening and pristine stars of the Milky Way as you have never seen them before – as well as the spectacular Southern Cross.
Day 6
Enjoy some final early morning game viewing in the Kruger National Park.

Afterwards transfer between 2 and 3.5-hours to Mpumalanga Airport (depending on the location of your lodge) for your onward flight.

You will be met at Cape Town Airport and transferred to your hotel in this beautiful city, within sight of Table Mountain.

Check in and relax in your magnificent surroundings.
Day 7
Today is free for independent sightseeing in Cape Town.

To orientate yourself, use your pre-paid pass for the Red Route Hop-Off Bus, which stops at all Cape Town’s key sights and attractions, including the Table Mountain (a Fast Track cable car ticket is also included). Here you can ascend and enjoy one of the world's most famous views.

Continue to trendy Camps Bay beach and the many attractions of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Note: Don't let the colour of the bus confuse you. All buses are red, but they run two different routes - the Red City Route and the Blue Kirstenbosch Route.

Table Mountain cable car is closed for annual maintenance from mid July to end August.
Day 8
Today we recommend an optional full day shared tour to the beautiful Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, where you may see baboons, ostrich and perhaps even dolphins or whales in season (July/November).

Your tour travels through Hout Bay and along spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive to the Cape Point peninsula, before returning via Simons Town and Fish Hoek. This is a scenic tour of the whole Cape Peninsula, with the optional opportunity of visiting the penguin colony at Boulders Beach.

Note: Lunch is for your own account today. Group size is minimum 2 / maximum 15.
Day 9
At leisure to explore more of the beautiful city of Cape Town.

You can visit the Mandela Legacy Exhibition at the City Hall, explore the vibrant Victoria & Alfred Waterfront or take the ferry to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned (advance booking essential in season).

You can also take the Hop Off bus (Blue Route) to visit world famous Kirstenbosch Gardens or simply relax on golden Camps Bay Beach.
Day 10
In season, today we recommend a full day Whale Watching small group tour to the seaside town of Hermanus, a scenic 2-hour drive over Sir Lowry's Pass with spectacular views of False Bay.

From July to November, southern right and humpback whales come here to breed and this is considered the best location for land-based Whale Watching in the world. Once severely endangered, these magnificent creatures of the deep are now breeding successfully here due to a major international conservation effort. Weather permitting, take an optional boat ride to get closer views (pre-booking recommended, as boats have limited capacity).

Enjoy whale watching from the cliffs before returning to Cape Town, travelling through the apple orchids of Elgin and Sir Lowry's Pass.

Note: If you take the optional whale watching boat ride, wear a jacket as it can get cold on the boat and take a sun hat, sun glasses, binoculars, sunscreen, camera & small towel. Take your own snacks & drinks. You will be on the water for several hours in seas that can be rough, so if you are not a good sailor remember to take preventative travel sickness tablets well in advance.
Day 11
Transfer 1-hour from Cape Town to the beautiful Stellenbosch Winelands.

Check into your hotel in this famous wine producing area, relax under the giant oak trees and savour the fine food and wines of this region.
Day 12
At leisure to explore the old university town Stellenbosch, which is surrounded by beautiful mountains and vineyards.

You can wander through its many street markets, craft shops and museums, including the Modern & Contemporary Art Gallery, or visit Stellenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Alternatively enjoy wine tasting using the Vine Hopper hop-off bus (advance booking online recommended).

Note: Vine Hopper bus does not operate on Sundays.
Day 13
Transfer 1-hour to Cape Town Airport for your flight home.
