Day 1
You will be met at Cape Town Airport and transferred to your hotel in this beautiful city, within sight of Table Mountain.

Check in and relax in your magnificent surroundings.
Day 2
Today is free for independent sightseeing in Cape Town.

We recommend you purchase a day pass onboard the convenient Hop-Off Bus, which stops at all Cape Town’s key sights and beaches. The "Red Route" bus stops at the Table Mountain base station, where you can buy a ticket to ascend by cable car and enjoy one of the world’s most famous views. Continue to Camps Bay beach and the many attractions of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.
Day 3
Today you will be collected from your hotel for a full day tour to the beautiful Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, where you may see baboons, ostrich and perhaps even dolphins or whales in season (July/November).

Your tour travels through Hout Bay and along spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive to the Cape Point peninsula, returning via Simons Town, Fish Hoek, Constantia and Kirstenbosch Gardens. This is a scenic tour of the whole Cape Peninsula, with the optional opportunity of visiting the penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
Day 4
At leisure to relax and explore the "Mother City" of Cape Town.

Many optional activities are available in this beautiful city. You can visit Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned (advance booking essential in season) and explore the vibrant Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

You can visit world famous Kirstenbosch Gardens or simply relax on golden Camps Bay beach – the choice is yours.
Day 5
Today we recommend an optional full day tour to the renowned Stellenbosch Winelands, travelling through the scenic Franschhoek Valley where a handful of French Huguenot refugees started South Africa’s now famous wine industry.

Explore the historic university town of Stellenbosch and several wine estates on this famous wine route, which stretched from Paarl through to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Enjoy a cellar tour and some wine tasting, before returning to Cape Town in the late afternoon.
Day 6
This morning you will be collected from your Cape Town hotel around 08h00 for your small group tour along the beautiful Garden Route.

We travel through the picturesque Hex River Valley, one of the largest grape producing regions in South Africa, to the historic town of Matiesfontein, founded in 1884 by an energetic Scottish railwayman called James Logan and today a National Heritage Site.

We continue to Prince Albert, a pretty Karoo village surrounded by beautifully preserved Cape Dutch and Victorian buildings.
Day 7
This morning enjoy a spectacular drive through Meiringspoort Pass, with its magnificent rock formations, as the road winds its way throught the Swartberg Mountains to the quaint Klein Karoo village of De Rust.

We continue to the ostrich capital of Oudsthoorn, where we visit the world famous Cango Caves. This vast series of underground halls and caverns was formed over 20 million years ago in the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains. The caves, which extend for over 3 miles, contain spectacular stalagmites and stalactites and offer relatively easy access.

In the afternoon we visit an Ostrich Farm, to learn more about these huge flightless birds and their magnificent plumage, before checking into our hotel.
Day 8
Today we drive over the magnificent Outeniqua Pass to George, and travel via Wilderness to Knysna in the heart of the Garden Route and known as the oyster box of South Africa.

Enjoy a lagoon cruise to the Featherbed Nature Reserve, returning for lunch under the milkwood trees.
Check in to your hotel with the afternoon free to explore this charming town in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Day 9
Today enjoy exploring the natural beauty of the Knysna area, with its lush indigenous forest of yellowwood trees, thick green foliage and streams.

We start the day with a visit to the Monkeyland sanctuary, where you can see these primates up-close in their natural surroundings. We continue to the picturesque Knysna Heads, with spectacular views over the Knysna Lagoon (weather permitting), before visiting the holiday town of Brenton on Sea with its endless unspoilt beach.

The remainder of the afternoon is free to explore more of Knysna independently.
Day 10
Today we leave Knysna and travel 1.5-hours along the scenic Garden Route to Tsitsikamma.

We pass through the "millionaires playground" of Plettenberg Bay and visit the Birds of Eden sanctuary, before driving to the Bloukrans Bridge, the highest single span arch bridge in the world - which offers the highest bungy jump in the world.

We visit Tsitsikamma National Park and the scenic Storms River mouth. Enjoy the scenery as we cross the suspension bridge, where photographic opportunities abound, before checking into our hotel.
Day 11
Today travel 2-hours via the Tsitsikamma Forest to Port Elizabeth Airport, arriving around 12.30 at the end of your Garden Route tour.

From here you will be transferred to your hotel in this warm and friendly holiday city, with its magnificent beaches.
Day 12
Today transfer 2-hours to your malaria free game lodge near Addo in the beautiful Eastern Cape.

After checking in to your lodge enjoy an afternoon game drive, where game viewing opportunities should present themselves almost immediately. Hopefully see several species of antelope, zebra, wildebeest and maybe even giraffe - as well as several of the Big Five - before dining under the stars in your warm African surroundings!
Day 13
Rise at dawn to take advantage of the best game viewing conditions of the day and enjoy a thrilling open-top game viewing safari with your lodge ranger in your Private Game Reserve which is home to all the Big Five - Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard and Rhino. Hope to see many interesting species before returning to your lodge for breakfast.

The rest of the morning is free to relax by the lodge swimming pool, before setting out again in the late afternoon for another game drive. Hope to see giraffe, hippo, kudu, crocodiles, antelope, waterbuck, warthogs, baboons and many other interesting animals. With hundreds of different bird species, outstanding bird watching is also guaranteed!

Note: children < 6 are not allowed on open top game drives.
Day 14
Enjoy some final early morning game viewing, before your 2-hour transfer to Port Elizabeth Airport for your flight home.
