Day 1
You will be met at Durban Airport and transferred to your hotel on the warm North Coast, renowned for its wonderful beaches and warm holiday weather.

Check in and relax on the shores of the warm Indian Ocean.
Day 2
Today transfer for 4.5-hours to Sodwana Bay Marine National Park, recognised for its importance in marine conservation as a World Heritage site.

Sodwana Bay is South Africa’s premier deep sea fishing location, with easy access to the warm Mozambique Reef. Check in to your fishing lodge, comprising simple but comfortable log cabins situated in an indigenous coastal forest near the beach, where monkeys and antelope roam free.

Note: On arrival check in at the Deep Sea Fishing shop to confirm your fishing times and sort out your equipment hire. Please note that you will need to buy a fishing licence locally (approx £5).
Days 3 To 4
Rise early this morning for a full day of Deep Sea Game Fishing off the warm Mozambique Reef, the southern-most coral reef in the world. Start with an exciting beach launch (06.00 from Nov-Apr / 07.00 from May-Oct) on your 7-metre boat, which is fully equipped for marlin and game fishing and registered for up to 5 anglers and your skipper.

The diversity of fish & invertebrates found on the Mozambique Reef makes Sodwana Bay one of South Africa's prime angling destinations - with black marlin, blue marlin, stripe marlin, sailfish and yellowfin tuna regularly caught here. Many other combative game fish such as barracuda and kingfish also frequent these warm waters. Dolphins are regularly seen, as well as migrating humpback whales from April to July.

All tackle and bait will be provided by your skipper, who will make recommendations based on local conditions. After a thrilling day at sea relax at your lodge, or walk along the beach which is surrounded by the highest naturally vegetated sand dunes in the world.

Marlin – best from November to May
Dorado – best from November to March
Sailfish, king mackerel, yellowfin tuna and other game species – all year round
Day 5
This morning transfer 3-hours to Lake Jozini in remote and beautiful northern Zululand.

Check in and relax on the shores of this great lake fed by the Pongola River and surrounded by wildlife, against a backdrop of the Lebombo Mountains.
Days 6 To 7
Depart early with a packed breakfast and enjoy a morning of thrilling Tiger Fishing in the warm sub-tropical waters of Lake Jozini, with a skipper who will share his know-how and show you the best fishing spots.

The ferocious tiger fish is a legendary fighter, with an extraordinarily large tail and specialised bone structure that allows it to accelerate with speed and hit your bait like no other fish its size. Their teeth are formidable and they prey on other fish up to 40% their own weight. They grow up to 16 lbs but even at 4 lbs they fight like champions.

After a light lunch at your lodge (own account), set out again for an afternoon of tiger fishing. Afterwards relax at your lodge overlooking the lake, where you may see hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife whilst enjoying sundowners on the deck. You can also enjoy optional game drives and boat cruises.

Note:The best months for tiger fishing are from September to March. Rod hire & bait box is included.
